Why it's important
Personal care attendants provide the assistance that allows adults and children with disabilities and seniors to live at home.

But most PCAs receive low wages, no health insurance, no sick or vacation time—conditions that result in high turnover and make it difficult to find and keep personal care attendants.

Personal care attendants are forming a union
PCAs across the state have worked together with consumers, allies, and legislators to form a PCA union for better wages and benefits. Get involved!

SEIU is the largest and strongest union of personal care attendants in the nation, with more than 400,000 home care members.
