The short explanation of this alert was:

In the past two years, almost one million more children have become uninsured.

Today, we have a chance to turn that around, by strengthening the highly successful State Children's Insurance Program-SCHIP-so it can cover more uninsured kids.

But to do it, we have to get the support of 2/3 of Congress, and override the recent veto of the SCHIP program! A strong bipartisan majority in Congress has already voted to support SCHIP. But on the upcoming override, every vote is going to matter.

How many kids are depending on you? Over 10 million. More than 10 million kids need your members of Congress to vote for the override so they can get immunizations, regular checkups, and the medical care they need for a healthy start to life.
