We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit National Action to Support Writers.

The short explanation of this alert was:
Since November 5, 2007, 10,500 writers have been on strike. These writers are the minds behind the television shows and movies that the public loves to watch. With writers, cast and crew out of work, the television networks will soon run out of episodes of your favorite programs including CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds, House and many others. Writers are asking for fair compensation when their content is streamed on the Internet by the networks. Right now, writers get nothing for this work -- and the studios want to keep it that way.
